Yours included.?This Lead?HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for:Responding?to routine and emergencies via on-line work order, radio dispatch or as assigned by Group Leader/Supervisor. Assists Group Leader/Supervisor in preparing specifications, drawings and planning installation sequence for complex projects. In absence of Group Leader/Sup, organizes, prioritizes and delegates service requests and completion of scheduled preventive maintenance.Installing?and maintains air flow ducts and controls. Measures, cuts and bends ductwork and assembles, installs and secures ducts, valves and fittings using sheet metal shears, wrenches and other tools and equipment. Inspects ducts and connections for leaks, reapplies sealant, inspects, adjusts and calibrates air supply, exhaust and recirculation gauges and controls in order to ensure compliance with hospital specifications and applicable codes and regulations.Installing?and maintains heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment and component parts. Disassembles devices in order to isolate defects/malfunctions and removes, adjusts, cleans, lubricates and/or replaces mechanical/functional parts such as motors, fans, filters and diffusers.Maintaining communication with other engineering department personnel in order to plan and coordinate work assignments and describe and refer problems/issues outside scope of authority/trade. Communicates with customer departments as needed to clarify job specifications and minimize any disruption of department services/operations.Completing, files and/or routes a variety of logs and records required to document work performed and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements. Accesses hospital and/or departmental computer systems in order to process and forward work orders, receive, prepare and respond to routine electronic correspondence and perform other related functions.Maintaining neatness and safety of work area. Cleans and maintains tools and equipment in working condition, reporting items in need of repair or replacement to Group Leader/Supervisor. Returns materials/equipment to designated storage locations.Maintaining?technical knowledge and skills through attendance at inservice and continuing education programs and participation in other related activities. Provides guidance and serves as a resource for department personnel on systems, technology and procedures related to area(s) of responsibility.Contributing?to teamwork.?To qualify, you must have:High school level of educational development. Up to one year of basic technical training and?1-2 year?s experience. 3-4 years of facilities experience preferred.Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
