Position Summary: Property Maintenance / Turnover Technician is responsible for apartment turnovers, maintenance and cleanliness of all properties owned and leased as assigned by the Senior Property Coordinator or the Director of Facilities Management, in a cost effective and safe manner while fostering a cooperative and respectful working environment.Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):Maintain and repair property facilities: Including but not limited to general facility repairs and property maintenance. Apartment turnovers, simple plumbing repairs, light electrical repairs, drywall repairs, lock replacement, moving furniture, landscaping and other duties as assigned. All to be followed through to completion including post inspection confirmation and reporting.Maintenance Grounds: Grounds Maintenance duties to include but not limited to, mowing lawns, planting, trimming shrubs and trees, snow removal all to be followed through to completion including post inspection confirmation and reporting.Daily cleaning and complete clean-outs of properties: Including but not limited to general cleanings, cleanouts, window cleaning, general rubbish and waste removal all to be followed through to completion including post inspection confirmation and reporting.Furniture Replacement and Removal: Replacement, assembly, and disposal of damaged furniture which will necessitate lifting, carrying and loading furniture to be followed through to completion including post inspection confirmation and reporting.Qualifications / Skills Required: The ability to perform simple building / grounds maintenance and repair duties utilizing power and hand tools commonly used in the industry including but not limited to power tools such as, drills, saws, and hand tools such as a tape measure, hammer, sockets/ratchet sets, pliers, plumbing snakes, screw drivers, painting tools, pressure washers, lawn mowers and leaf blowers.Hours: This a temporary position 24-32 hours per week. Hours vary depending on need. Some weekends and evenings will be required for moves and apartment turnovers.Minimum Requirements Excellent verbal communication skills and trouble shooting Skills Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Facilities Management software such as upkeep. Minimum of 3 years? experience in Property/Building Maintenance. Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests simultaneously. Excellent trouble shooting skills. A Valid Massachusetts Driver?s License (with a clean driving record). Climb a ladder up to 15 feet. Lift 75 lbs. Live within 10 miles of the city of Boston Able to pass a background check Bi-Lingual ability is preferred but not required. Esp.
