Performs technical support programs(TSP) / service agreement tasks and scheduled assignments to ensurethatautomation system is properly maintained and operating correctly. Handles emergency service calls as directed duringthe dayand after hours. Responds to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or on-line), checks indicated points oftrouble,analyzes full requirements of system involved and checks and tests systemscomponents. Diagnoses troubleor defect, determines corrective action andrepairs system. Performs preventative maintenance and diagnosticsonautomation system and components according to TSP / service agreementcontracts.Tests and verifiessystem readingsensuring an optimal system operation. Identifies additionalchargeable opportunities including time and material work,system upgradesand service contact expansion. Completes service repairs, replacements,upgrades, adjustments and calibration on automation systems andcomponents following issued tasking, maintenance, troubleshooting andinstallation instructions. Performs system checkout andassists inautomation systems startups for service installed jobs. May coordinateelectrical installation with electricalcontractor at job site asrequired. Completes and submits written service orders and reports covering allaspects ofeach assignment and activity.Completes and submitstime sheetsand other necessaryinformation weekly. Ifimproperoperation is due to another system or component, discussesproblem with customer and/or officeand advises of the bestcourse of action.Works with other branch, company or external service providersor vendors to arrange servicing and toresolve problem Participates in jobsite final walk and / or final completion for systems to service turnover onassignedjobs Conducts training and development classes for customers onsite or at the branch.
Delivers technicalsupport,coaching and direction to end users and field labor whenapplicable Associate's degree in Electronics or otherrelatedfield.
Knowledge of automation systems, HVAC, electrical concepts, and buildingoperations preferred. Skilled in programming, job start-up and checkout, andtroubleshooting. Proficient in Microsoft Office:Word and Excel. Excellent verbal andwritten communication and customer relation skills.In addition individualmust have Ethernet network experience including design, implementation, andtroubleshooting of networks. Must have knowledge of computersystems. Be able to install operating systems and related software aswellas troubleshooting any issues that may arise. A strong knowledge ofintegration both legacy and bacNET.A knowledge of Tridiumwould be helpful.
Individual must possess a validdrivers license in good standing. Individual must be at least 21 years of age inorder to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
