Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties for the business, including: install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment, according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, as well as to receive, inspect and record shipments of raw material and/or products from the business' vendors. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure that the received goods match the purchase order placed by the business.

Essential Functions

Primary Responsibility: approximately 70% of the time.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to prevent line-down events and perform scheduled maintenance and service repairs of production equipment.

Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

Perform mechanic tasks, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to plant equipment.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those, and any other unusual situations, to proper supervision.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Execute process improvements on an ongoing basis.

Secondary Responsibility: approximately 30% of the time.

Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.

Unload packages from incoming areas.

Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.

Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.).

Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated locations.

Ensure invoices for satisfactory deliveries are signed and paid for.

Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.

Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates with 10 years' experience
  • 7+ years' experience in a factory setting with equipment maintenance
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve established project goals
  • Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Basic computer and data entry skills

Additional Qualifications (Plus)

  • Experience in creation of mechanical/electrical assembly and test fixtures
  • Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) theory and prevention methods, e.g. ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Knowledge of high vacuum and/or DI water systems
  • Experience with mill/drills
  • Ability to read and interpret solid model drawings
