Our client is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join their team of professionals. This Direct Hire position is based in Los Angeles, CA Responsibilities:
Support the Utilities / Facilities group to maintain critical utilities / facilities systems while driving continuous improvement through loss elimination, root-cause problem solving, and increasing capabilities at the operating team level. Utilities technician will own multiple utilities system with responsibility for optimization and zero target downtime. Utilities technician's primary responsibility is maintain uptime of system to provide the highest utility availabilities to the operation. Responsibilities and Scope of Role: Owner of multiple Utilities / Facilities systems Participate in Daily Direction Setting process Build technical capability to deliver short and long term business needs, utilizing continuous improvement principles and standards. Operate within the high standards of excellence in the Andover Base Expectations and all Zero Loss Journey behavior expectations. Actively communicate with team members regarding department/team issues, gaps, and needs. Analyze and prioritize losses using IWS tools (breakdowns, process failures, contamination, etc ). Eligibility Requirements: 5+ yrs utility or facilities experience in an industrial environment. Able to work flexible shifts as required by business need. Mechanical systems, basic electrical theory & trouble shooting, basic plumbing, compressed air systems, HVAC systems, GMP, Purified water systems, wastewater systems. Certification or proof of successful training in two or more of the following: HVAC, electrician, pipefitter, gasfitter, 2nd class fireman, wastewater operation.Licensure in one or more of the following is a plus: Able to manage contractors and vendors Flexibility to be on-call during off-shift hours. Ability to work weekends and holidays to meet business need. Ability to focus attention of operating teams on the most important priorities. Upholds high standards of operating teams with respect to Safety and Quality. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues. Ability to leverage Diversity, build productive working relationships. Possesses good interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships. Capable of anticipating changing conditions. Acknowledges, understands and leverages own strengths and limitations. Capable of seeking out improvement opportunities within the Organization for the operating teams. Selection Criteria6. Capability and Priority setting - good time management and priority setting skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities/projects at one time.1. Demonstrated knowledge of utility and facility systems and required maintenance.2. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.3. Demonstrated leadership capability. Previous system, team or project leadership experience is preferred. Can lead other people to accomplish a common goal.4. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Individual will need to have good interfacing skills. Ability to build constructive relationships with other plant functions to achieve start up success.5. Proven capability to develop mastery.
